Compact for its capacity; attractive and fairly quiet.

Purchased this compressor-driven cooler when our dual-zone 12-bottle thermoelectric unit died after 2 years. We'll see how long this one holds up! We like the relatively small size for the number of bottles it'll hold. However, to fit 29 bottles into it requires nesting the bottles on the shallower shelves so that 3 have their bottoms toward the door and 2 don't, and also stacking 2 bottles atop 3 bottles on the deeper shelves. Without the nesting, capacity is 21. The shelves pull out easily, and you could organize your wine by labeling the shelves with Dymo or Brother labels, or even with a permanent marker. This cooler is fairly quiet, louder than most thermoelectric coolers, but no noisier than a kitchen refrigerator. The interior blue LED lighting is more decorative than utilitarian - the lights do not go on when you open the door - you have to push an inside button on the right of the temperature displays, but you won't need the interior light unless the cooler is in a dimly lit room. Out of the box, the door is hinged on the right as shown in the listing, but I was able to reverse it easily. We didn't even attach the door handle, as we have the unit in our laundry room where a knee could bump into the handle; we can slide our fingers around the edge of the door to open it. So far (1 month) this cooler has worked just fine, and we'd have given it 5 stars except for the peculiar bottle packing that's required to obtain the rated bottle capacity, and the unknown longevity factor...

The item arrived as if thrown down a flight of stairs. Door was bent and plastic part underneath broken.

Arrived in great condition. Nice unit. However, why did you cheap out on the shelving? They are warped and cheap. Very sloppy.
